Joe Bates Speaks Truth To Power Tools

At the beginning of 2021 Joe Bates (BBC Radio 4Extra, Chorts finalist 2021) started taking anti-depressants to check if things in the world were as bleak as they seemed or whether he just had a medical condition. After a while he realised that things really are that bleak, but now he’s on anti-depressants, he’s feeling really positive about everything.

In this solo stand-up show he finds the upsides of the dystopia of the UK in 2022 and talks about his own personal journey (spoiler alert: it was on a southbound Megabus in 2010)
