Great evening! Never been to a comedy club before so wasn’t sure what to expect but Robyn was an amazing host/mc, really funny and connected with the audience so well. The other acts were also brilliant, funny and we timed also! Will definitely return in the future!

Such a great night! Loved the venue and all the guys there made us feel welcome and at home. Acts were brilliant so much fun (even if we were sat at the front!!). Thanks to the host for being so fabulous, you were the highlight!! Thanks all for a fab night would definitely book again next time we’re in Brighton

Really enjoyed our night. The venue is tiny which makes the experience more intimate, and all the comedians were genuinely funny.

Such a cool little spot! The owner is really welcoming and the acts they had on were so good. It really captures what Brighton is about – it’s open minded, quirky and fun – I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing night. The compere was awesome, made everyone feel at home and got anyone involved that wanted to be. Great acts for a super reasonable price. Everyone laughed so much. Can’t wait to come back again! Definitely the highlight from our weekend in Brighton. Steve and Michelle

In 2018 we really decided to go full throttle ahead with running a comedy club at Artista. We committed to work tirelessly to book the best and most varied stand up comedy line-ups. We have created the most intimate, atmospheric, friendly and exciting comedy club in Brighton by developing and improving the space for the precise purpose of hosting stand up comedy over the last 5 years. In 2019 we had reached the apex of what we do here at The Secret Comedy Club and were finally starting to get all the top end acts that we are now known for. It felt like the sky was the limit but little did we know the year that lay ahead.
After as more than a year of lockdowns we had no idea what the future held for The Secret Comedy Club. We had spent years growing this unique experience and after losing all the momentum of the years we had been working on it we very apprehensive about the future.
Needless to say how fortunate we felt that right after reopening we got to take part in the Brighton Festival 2021. Not only that but after our one and a half month run of comedy shows for the Brighton Fringe we we fortunate enough to have been voted Audience Choice Awards Best Venue. We ran 4 shows per day during the week and 6 shows per day every weekend so after all that work we feel humbled by being voted best venue.
Alexander opened Artista (the venue where The Secret Comedy Club is run) in 2014. Since then he has built up the comedy club from 1 day per month to 5 days per week!
Martin joined the team in 2019 when he first came down to do a 5 min spot on our open mic night. We just knew there was something special about him and so we invited him to try his first MC spot. It goes without saying he absolutely smashed it and has since become our number one in house MC.
We only met Robyn during the Brighton fringe 2021 and in the short time we have know her she has already started MCing for us and running her own night here. We look forward to working along side her in the future.
Dan Fardell has been working with us for several years now both as a stand-up act and as one of our best Mc’s. He hosts most of our open mic nights as well as several weekend events.
